Kharma is a German Shepherd / Norwegian Elkhound that I adopted from a local Humane Society when she was about 4 months old. She has taught me so much over the years. We share a tremendous link and she reads me better than I can read myself! Kharma has been a practice dog in some sense- she was the 'first born' for me, but she has weathered it well. She has successfully trained many puppies the art of being respectful and has weathered mom's training mistakes. She has tolerated kids petting a bit harder than necessary and is quite the squirrel hunter! She has quite a uppity attitude and I love it! Kharma enjoys obedience, herding, and agility. Her favorite hobby is keeping a close vigil on all the trees for squirrels- no matter where we are. She will spend hours outside just looking straight up tall trees, waiting for the puffy tail creatures to unwittingly run down the tree.

Kharma earned her Temperament Test Certificate to day at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Washington's test. A Temperament Test measures how your dogs reacts to different situations such as walking on unusual surfaces, reaction to a variety of noises, and how the dog reacts to different humans. |
